I'm a married momma of 2 funny and active boys - one very talkative teenager (the kid, born Feb '06), and one busy 8 year old (baby E, born Sept '10). I'm also a social worker with an unusual amount of knowledge about pregnancy for someone who's never experienced it firsthand. This blog is the telling of my journey to and through motherhood, with some sarcasm thrown in.
1) My kids would totally do something like this and it's hilarious *because* it's not my kids (plus, Jewish, but whatever).
2) I had to think for a minute to remember that the baby a friend's, right? I was all like WHERE did that baby COME FROM? (Which is also the title of a hilarious children's book, btw.)
3) Bug came home from school one day talking about Santa and I automatically said "Santa is just a story that people tell, Santa is not real" and my spouse said "You're about to crush some other child's dream now, dear" and I said "Well... too bad." Because I'm a terrible person. And now Bug is going around saying "Santa isn't real" to everyone. Yep.

Today is the first year I haven't been in the picture with the kids and Santa. They are 8 and 6!
